Expeditor Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and expedite the processing of purchase orders to guarantee timely delivery to customers.
  2. Conduct regular reviews of active purchase orders to prevent stock shortages and ensure data accuracy within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  3. Clean up past-due purchase orders, identify underlying causes, and implement corrective actions to avoid similar issues in the future.
  4. Resolve material issues by maintaining close communication with suppliers until receipt of materials at the site.
  5. Organize and attend supplier meetings to address performance concerns and track progress on agreed-upon action plans.
  6. Ensure that suppliers adhere to scheduled delivery timelines.
  7. Serve as the single point of contact for all delivery-related communications.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate with suppliers effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to review purchase orders and resolve material issues efficiently.
  • Able to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
