Job Description:

A Material Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a warehouse. The primary responsibility is to plan and coordinate the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials to meet production requirements.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  1. Generate data from previous month, actual sales, and inventory backorders (open orders) on a monthly basis.
  2. Initiate and lead planning teams in S I & OP meetings for both Trading and Local produce products.
  3. Input sales/demand planning in S I &OP reports after monthly meetings and submit them for approval.
  4. Analyze raw material and packaging stocks for locally produced items at economic optimum based on historic and expected future consumption.
  5. Apply special management of import to stock (ITS) trading products to meet demand and minimize stock levels.
  6. Manage material planning activities through forecast consolidation and ensure timely recovery of material shortages.
  7. Work closely with Operations to update Demand & Planning Supervisors on internal customers' needs.
  8. Perform backup duties for other Material Planners and assist with special Material Planning projects as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • At least two years of working experience in a related field.
  • Experience working in a multinational company is an advantage.
