Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial accountant to join our finance team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple portfolio companies, managing full-cycle accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple portfolio companies.
  • Record journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Support audits and tax preparation processes in coordination with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Utilize NetSuite ERP to process and manage financial data across client entities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-client or multi-entity environment.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a private equity or investment firm environment.
  • Familiarity with consolidations and intercompany transactions.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
