Chief Accountant

To ensure that business transactions are processed and reported in a valid, accurate and timely manner and reflect the true financial performance and position of the business.

Project-based: 3 months

Qualifications/Work Experience

  • At least 6 years of combined experience in audit, controllership, taxation, finance systems, project management and process design/improvements.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end project management of Finance-related initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant is an advantage
  • MBA is an advantage

Responsible for

Accounting, financial reporting and finance systems

  • Ensure that business transactions are properly recognized and reported in compliance with existing policies/procedures and prevailing Accounting/Tax standards
  • Prepare or review business transactions under general accounting (asset depreciation, loan transactions, equity movements, lease accounting etc)
  • Manage the production and analysis of all historical financial reports in a manner, format and dissection required by users
  • Manage the submission/filing of financial reports to various agencies (BIR, SEC etc) Manage internal and external audits
  • Ensure that finance systems and processes are tailored-fit to business requirements

Accounts receivable and accounts payable

  • Ensure that all revenues and spends are processed in compliance with set SLA
  • Ensure that all business transactions are legitimate, properly documented and compliant with existing policies and procedures

Planning and strategy

  • Undertake project and initiatives that enhance covered financial processes/workstreams
  • Participate in the periodic budgeting and business review activity
  • People management and succession planning for the unit
