Staff Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to oversee our accounting operations and manage financial transactions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and accounting software packages such as FreshBooks and QuickBooks. They should also possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile account balances and maintain the general ledger
  • Analyze financial data and create reports on financial status based on the analysis results
  • Create timely and accurate accounting reports for executives and senior management
  • Develop recommendations to optimize accounting systems and detect inaccuracies
  • Support personnel on accounting control procedures
  • Supervise accounting assistants and bookkeepers, plan their work, and assign tasks
  • Participate in forecasting and financial standards setting processes
  • Organize financial statements and budget preparation
  • Support tax audits and tax returns
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
  • Collaborate with financial and accounting managers to optimize financial operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, Chief or Senior Accountant
  • Proficiency in typical accounting procedures and good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant certifications such as CMA or CPA
