About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team at Kintetsu World Express Phils., Inc. This full-time role, based in Paranaque City Metro Manila, will be instrumental in driving the financial success of our organisation. As the Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and oversee the entire accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and cash flow projections to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial records and reporting
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior management team
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment

What we're looking for

  • Qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, with a strong understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of leading and managing an accounting team
