
Business Solution Strategist

The key to success in this role lies in providing strategic leadership for Workday solutions, encompassing all stages from design to implementation delivery.
As a trusted advisor, this individual collaborates closely with pursuit teams to provide expert guidance on proposed Workday solutions, ensuring they are scalable, adaptable, and aligned with client objectives.
During the sales process, the subject matter expert contributes significantly to RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and overall solution strategy.
In the implementation phase, the expert leads functional workstreams, delivering robust and future-ready solutions in collaboration with Engagement Managers, project teams, and senior client stakeholders.
Extensive Workday product knowledge and deep implementation expertise are crucial to achieving success in this position.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with pursuit and sales teams to provide expert solution guidance and contribute to RFPs/RFIs.
- Develop effort and budgetary estimations aligning to customer requirements.
- Ensure continuity of design intent and solution integrity during the transition from sales to delivery.
- Provide quality assurance oversight and thought leadership on in-flight implementations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across various functional areas to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
- Lead the end-to-end functional solution design across the full project lifecycle.
- Provide functional leadership on multiple concurrent Workday implementations.
- Drive and facilitate key client sessions to ensure robust solution design and client alignment.
- Advocate for resolution of issues and maintain project momentum.
- Promote continuous improvement of implementation methodologies and tools.
- Mentor and develop junior team members by providing coaching and skills development.
- Champion knowledge sharing across practices to foster innovation and consistency.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of actual implementation experience.
- Strong Workday implementation experience and end-to-end implementation experience with HR, Financial, or Student Information Systems required.
- Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and analyze areas of risk and develop plans to minimize.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to executive staff and sponsors.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally based on business needs.
