
Patient Support Specialist

Role Overview
Key Responsibilities- Process patient referrals ensuring accurate and complete documentation
- Verify insurance eligibility and maintain referral logs
- Upload, track, and organize medical documents in the system
- Coordinate with patients, providers, and internal teams via phone, chat, and email
- Handle faxes, tasks, and provider requests promptly and with precision
- Ensure patients are on schedule by setting up evaluation appointments correctly
- Maintain smooth team communication through daily updates
The successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience in insurance verification and authorization. Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and referral/authorization processes is also required. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills are essential for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and comfort with EMR systems are a must. Professional communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are also necessary.
