The role of an HR Manager encompasses a diverse array of responsibilities, necessitating a skill set that can effectively support multiple areas of Human Resources throughout the organization.
Key to success in this position is the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact, discretion, and sound judgment. A strong foundation in employment law and employee relations is essential, as this individual will partner with senior HR leadership to develop and execute initiatives both locally and globally.
Effective communication and the capacity to deliver valuable services to all organizational groups are crucial in this role. Additionally, the candidate must be adept at building relationships across management levels to provide coaching, guidance, and support.
- Represent the HR department locally while implementing global-level initiatives.
- Provide HR support to global leaders in recruitment, performance management, benefits & compensation, and employee relations.
- Offer guidance and advice to employees and management on HR-related topics; respond to escalated HR issues.
- Develop connections across management levels to provide coaching, guidance, and support.
- Manage recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, and interviewing for country-specific hiring.
- Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new HR technologies.
- Be knowledgeable about employment law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure policies comply with regulatory requirements.
- Support alignment with corporate culture by modeling values and behaviors.
- Assist HR leadership in implementing country-wide initiatives aligned with corporate culture.
- Degree in Human Resources or relevant field, with 7-10 years of experience in diverse HR roles, preferably in a medium-sized, fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with international companies on a global platform.
- Strong background in employee relations to handle various employment issues.
- Ability to conduct HR training sessions on topics like performance management and development programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a global team.
- Experience with HRIS systems; ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment.
