About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for crew planning and deployment, ensuring that all aspects of vessel operations are managed efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Crew Planning: Propose, execute, and monitor rotation planning in eCrew to ensure seamless crew transitions.
  • Crew Relief Status/Plan: Provide updates to the PIC/Master onboard as applicable.
  • Debriefing: Conduct debriefings for offsigners to review performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication: Update the team with changes in requirements and propose qualified candidates from the OSM pool or new recruits.
  • New Recruit Management: Submit requirements for new recruits to the Recruitment Department.
  • Financial Management: Request joining cash advances for departing seafarers and process emergency loans as needed.
  • Wage Seniority: Compute sea services for wage seniority of joiners.
  • POEA Enrolment: Coordinate with the Processing Department for POEA enrolment of principals, vessels, and wage scales.
  • Allotment Details: Update allotment details and self-USD accounts.
  • Flight Arrangements: Request and monitor flights for upcoming crew changes.
  • Transportation: Ensure flight and other transportation bookings are made in a timely and economical manner.
  • Pre-Joining Checklist: Discuss with joining seafarers the pre-joining and pre-departure checklist, initiate clearance processes, and release documents to withdrawing seafarers upon completion.
  • Crew Performance Evaluation: Monitor crew performance evaluation and propose seafarers for promotions.
  • Crew Payroll/Accounting: Coordinate with the Crew Payroll/Accounting section regarding inquiries from crew onboard about their allotments and wages.
  • eCrew Updates: Update information of seafarers in eCrew, including sign-on and sign-off for all seafarers.
  • Other Tasks: Perform other tasks as delegated by the Crewing Manager.
  • MLC Contract: Prepare MLC contracts for onboard crew as required.
  • Ecrew Dashboard: Monitor the Ecrew dashboard.
  • Supervision: Supervise the Crewing Assistant.
  • Crew Welfare: Coordinate and assist crew for any crew welfare activities.
  • Invoices: Approve invoices through Eyeshare.
