Financial Credit Specialist

BH Properties is a privately held commercial real estate investment firm. It focuses on value-add acquisitions in office, industrial, retail, and multi-family properties throughout the Western United States.
Responsibilities- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess client creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit analyses and risk assessments for new and existing clients
- Collaborate with sales, legal, and finance teams to structure deals that align with company risk tolerance
- Monitor client portfolios and identify potential credit risks or deteriorating financial conditions
- Maintain accurate records of credit evaluations and decisions
- Recommend credit limits and terms based on risk analysis
- Stay current with industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk
- Support underwriting processes for property acquisitions, leases, and financing arrangements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- Graduated cum laude or better from university is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within the real estate industry
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
- Familiarity with credit scoring systems and risk assessment tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
