Financial Planning Assistant Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Financial Planning Assistant.

The ideal candidate will have experience preparing comprehensive financial plans and recommendations, conducting product comparisons, and performing strategy modelling in areas such as superannuation, insurance, and pensions. The role primarily involves supporting senior financial planners by providing research, analysis, and documentation to ensure seamless client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed financial plans and recommendations in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough product comparisons and strategy modelling for superannuation, insurance, and pension products.
  • Assist in the setup and structuring of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF) for property investment.
  • Utilize financial planning software such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic for research and documentation.
  • Work closely with senior planners to implement tailored financial strategies for clients.
  • Ensure all financial plans and recommendations comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate client records and liaise with advisers to refine financial strategies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial planning assistant role.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to model financial strategies effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with financial advisers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
