Job Overview

The Business Development Manager/Head will play a pivotal role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and securing valuable commercial real estate deals. You will be responsible for leading and executing business development strategies, managing client relationships, and ensuring that growth objectives are met across different market segments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Strategy Development: Develop and implement business development strategies to acquire new clients, secure property listings, and expand the firm's commercial real estate portfolio.
  • Lead Generation & Client Engagement: Engage in lead generation activities, including networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and meeting potential clients to build a strong pipeline of new business.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead negotiations and finalize deals with property owners, developers, and other stakeholders, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, property owners, and partners to ensure repeat business and client retention.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive opportunities, and potential clients.
  • Use insights to adjust strategies and stay ahead of the market.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., brokerage, marketing, leasing) to align on strategies, ensure smooth execution of client engagements, and achieve growth targets.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage the business development team, setting clear targets, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to promote the brand and identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in commercial real estate are highly valued.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a client-facing role within the commercial real estate industry.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in negotiating and closing commercial real estate deals, managing high-value clients, and driving business growth.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management experience with the ability to guide and motivate a team towards achieving business goals.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the commercial real estate market, trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex deals and driving revenue growth.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders.
