Human Resources Generalist Role Overview

This role supports the overall human resources function of an organization by implementing various programs, services, and processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and other departments to ensure seamless integration and effective employee relations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US Human Resources management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health, and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, compliance, and labor relations;
  • Preparing paperwork, scheduling, and facilitating a smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience;
  • Handling all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance;
  • Providing an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters;
  • Assisting in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributing to the development of policies;
  • Organizing hard and soft copies of employee records;
  • Processing documentation and preparing reports relating to performance evaluations;
  • Coordinating employee satisfaction surveys and giving actionable insights to improve employees' experience;
  • Supporting employees with efficient problem-solving when any human resources issues arise;
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to questions regarding onboarding, taxes, benefits, and other HR-related matters;
  • Educating employees on HR processes and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources Operations;
  • Expert level working knowledge of MS Excel;
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and ATS Systems (Greenhouse, ADP Workforce Now preferred);
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
