Job Title: Airfreight Commercial and Capacity Management Professional

The Airfreight Commercial and Capacity Management Manager is a strategic leader responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, pricing strategies, and capacity planning within the airfreight division. Key activities include carrier procurement, pricing strategy, capacity planning, carrier and supplier management, customer solution design, performance monitoring, RFQ strategy, market analysis, continuous improvement, profit growth, and team development.

About This Role:
  • This position plays a critical role in shaping our airfreight business by driving procurement excellence, optimizing capacity, and building strong relationships with carriers and suppliers.
  • The successful candidate will be a skilled strategist, able to analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and implement effective solutions that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for airfreight carriers to ensure competitive rates and strong relationships.
  • Create pricing strategies aligned with market conditions to enhance profitability.
  • Analyze airfreight capacity trends to optimize resource allocation and meet customer demands.
  • Establish strategic relationships with key carriers and manage supplier performance to ensure service quality and optimal delivery.
  • Design customer solutions by considering optimum routes and carrier combinations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Track carrier performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with sales to formulate strategic responses to RFQs, leveraging insights for competitive offerings.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends in carrier performance and pricing strategies.
  • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Work with sales and AFR product teams to increase profit margins and market share.
  • Foster a culture of quality and collaboration, promoting team development and training opportunities.
  • Use technology for data analytics and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of Airfreight business.
  • At least 10 years of working experience, preferably from logistics experience in Freight Forwarding.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Proficiency in English verbally and in written.
  • Strong leadership skill and Strategic Thinking.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive Mindset (able adapt to changes).
  • Fast learner & Proactive.
  • Degree in Business Administration or related subject.
