Overview

Airfreight Operations Specialist role at A.P. Moller - Maersk. Owns the job file and has responsibility for creating and updating relevant documentation and Customer Invoices in the system.

Responsibilities
  • Secure truck appointments and monitor transfer activity in the terminal. Proactively coordinate with vendors to eliminate incidental cost.
  • Ensure documents (HAWB, MAWB, Air Manifest) accuracy and timely submission to airlines/sending to counterparts.
  • Ensure timely milestones update in the system.
  • Ensure timely job costing and proactively follow up on missing pre-alerts from vendors.
  • Act as customer service/operations for non-key client export accounts. Coordinate and secure confirmation from airlines and ensure profitability at all times.
  • Proactively monitor cargo movement and communicate with customers and counterparts.
  • Troubleshoot with partner airlines and ensure timely issue resolution.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics or a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and Excel skills
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Proactive with a customer-centric mindset
  • Keen to detail and cost-conscious
