Job Description

Airfreight Operations Specialist is responsible for managing air freight operations, ensuring timely and accurate document submission, and coordinating with vendors to eliminate incidental costs.

The role involves securing truck appointments, monitoring transfer activity, and updating job costing in the system. Additionally, the Airfreight Operations Specialist will act as customer service/operations for non-key client export accounts and coordinate confirmation from airlines.

Responsibilities
  • Secure truck appointments and monitor transfer activity in the terminal.
  • Ensure documents (HAWB, MAWB, Air Manifest) accuracy and timely submission to airlines/sending to counterparts.
  • Ensure timely milestones update in the system.
  • Ensure timely job costing and proactively follow up on missing pre-alerts from vendors.
  • Act as customer service/operations for non-key client export accounts.
  • Coordinate and secure confirmation from airlines and ensure profitability at all times.
  • Proactively monitor cargo movement and communicate with customers and counterparts.
  • Troubleshoot with partner airlines and ensure timely issue resolution.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics or a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and Excel skills.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Proactive with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Keen to detail and cost-conscious.
