Job Title: Remote Operations Coordinator

Overview

The Remote Operations Coordinator will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. This role offers an opportunity to learn new skills and demonstrate existing ones. The successful candidate will be responsible for closely following instructions and processes outlined by our client.


Responsibilities
  • Ensure drivers maintain compliance with DOT regulations and support customer requirements
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact to drivers and management
  • Monitor daily driving logs to ensure compliance with DOT
  • Assist Deputy Terminal Manager in ensuring truck and driver readiness
  • Develop daily plans to balance the drivers' health and safety with customer requirements
  • Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads
  • Implement programs to manage costs
  • Combine shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize truck/driver requirement
  • Negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers
  • Identify special needs of shipment and help drivers get the necessary documents needed

Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent; Logistics or transportation degree preferred
  • Fluent in English and Spanish preferred
  • Familiar with DOT and OSHA compliance regulations
  • Fluent in Excel
  • Quick and thorough data entry/input background also including and through excel and using one drive
  • Very clear English speaking skills – does not have to be less of an accent but must be very understandable
  • Critical thinking and extremely fast in responsiveness
