We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join our team.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and posting journal entries for designated affiliates, creating and maintaining standard financial reports, ensuring data integrity, and performing the periodic close of general ledger.

You will also be accountable for maintaining the standard chart of accounts, preparing account analysis and reconciliations, and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, you will identify and present solutions for process improvements, cooperate with other team members to ensure performance levels are met, and resolve conflicts as required.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your analytical skills, drive results, and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

This position requires strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting processes and information systems, as well as a high understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS). Experience with Oracle General Ledger is a plus.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be deadline-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries for designated SGS Affiliates
  • Creation and maintenance of standard GL, FA, INV, Intercompany Transaction reports
  • Data integrity and preparation of financial information
  • Periodic close of general ledger
  • Maintenance of standard chart of accounts
  • Account analysis and reconciliation
  • Customer service
  • Process improvement identification and presentation
  • Cooperation with other team members
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - required
  • CPA is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of related professional experience in GL - required
  • At least 2 years in senior accountant role – nice to have
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS) - required
  • High understanding of General Ledger accounting processes and information systems - required
