Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Operations Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:
  • Account Payable Tasks: The successful candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end Account Payable tasks including invoice verification, petty cash and staff claims and ensuring compliance with company policies. This includes reviewing and reconciling vendor statements to ensure accurate outstanding payments, working closely with credit card holders to reconcile monthly credit card statements and complete related approvals, and answering vendor inquiries and resolving any invoice discrepancies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth AP operations, provide support during month-end and year-end close procedures, and assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate must possess at least an Advanced Diploma in Accounting/Business Administration/Commerce or be working towards a Professional Accounting Qualification such as ACCA, MICPA or CIMA.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and Excel is required, with added advantageous if the candidate has experience using these tools in a shared service environment.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment, confidence and initiative when working with experienced stakeholders, both internally and externally, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
