Assistant Store Manager Job Summary

This leadership role focuses on operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include store operations, team member development, and providing a Legendary Customer Experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in driving sales and profit, customer loyalty, planning, prioritization, and delegating daily tasks.
  • Support Team Member counseling, hiring, staffing decisions, scheduling, training, and maintaining a productive work environment.
  • Perform Opening/Closing procedures, transport and make deposits to the bank, resolve customer complaints/issues, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Champion the Customer Experience, execute the GURA Sales Leader role, lead freight movement, support merchandising initiatives, feed management, and inventory control.
  • Operate cash register/computer, supervise cash handling procedures, adhere to loss prevention standards, respond to alarm calls, operate Forklift and Baler, ensure bird safety, and complete all documentation associated with job duties.
Requirements:
  • Previous retail leadership experience is required. Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Favorable working environment with moderate noise level.
  • Able to work indoors with adequate lighting and temperature.
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
  • Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers.
Physical Requirements:
  • Non-sedentary position requiring physical stamina and ability to move throughout the store and outdoor areas quickly and safely.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with assistance of proper MHE.
  • Occasional lifting or reaching merchandise overhead and frequent standing, kneeling, twisting, crouching, squatting, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.
