DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises tax processes and leads specialists to meet compliance and filing deadlines.
  • Focuses on tax filing accuracy, issue resolution, and compliance with tax laws.
  • Makes decisions on daily tax treatments, reconciliations, and escalations.
  • Leads tax specialists, reviews deliverables, and provides training and guidance.
  • Manages a team handling tax returns preparation, tax payments, reconciliations, and compliance documentation.
  • Reviews and approves tax returns prepared by specialists.
  • Coordinates timely submission of tax payments and filings.
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies between tax reports and financial records.
  • Supports audits and leads process standardization efforts.
  • Ensures adherence to BIR regulations, tax laws, and internal control policies.
  • Responsible for operational tax compliance, reviews, and team supervision.
  • Does not directly handle strategic tax planning, BIR audit and policy setting.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or relevant tax professional certification required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in supervisory roles.
  • Experience in real estate, shared services, or process-oriented environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, policies, and compliance requirements of BIR, SEC and DSHUD
  • Strong skills in reviewing work, coaching staff, and managing daily operations.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate tasks and resolve escalations.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
