Our Work
As a purchasing assistant, you will support the supply chain team in sourcing materials, components, and finished goods to meet production demands.
This role requires excellent communication, data entry, and coordination skills, as well as an interest in supply chain and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing furniture materials, components, and products from domestic and international suppliers.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders based on inventory levels, sales forecasts, and production schedules.
- Follow up with vendors to confirm order status, delivery dates, and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records in the purchase order system and tracking worksheets.
- Track incoming shipments, coordinate with warehouse teams, and ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding order status and supply chain issues.
- Request and evaluate vendor quotes, samples, and product specifications.
- Support the purchasing team in cost analysis, budgeting, and process improvements.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, preparing reports, and reconciling invoices.
Our ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with an eye for detail.
They should have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping are essential.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is necessary, with experience with ERP systems a plus.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial.
Interest in supply chain and procurement processes is a plus.
