Technical Learning Director

Job Description:

The organization seeks a seasoned Director of Technical Learning and Development to spearhead the development and implementation of technical learning programs for employees in key domains. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for designing and delivering large-scale training initiatives that cater to diverse skill sets.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial services operations, experience in crafting effective learning strategies, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technical learning strategy focusing on core capabilities such as risk management, data analytics, and compliance.
  • Design structured learning pathways for analysts, associates, and functional experts, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with business units to conduct needs assessments and align learning interventions with skill gaps and performance expectations.
  • Oversee instructional design, content curation, and vendor partnerships to ensure scalable, high-impact learning delivery.
  • Manage a team of Learning and Development professionals responsible for program delivery, administration, and learning technologies.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; continuously improve offerings based on data-driven insights.
  • Ensure programs are accessible globally and tailored to diverse learning preferences (virtual, on-demand, blended formats).
  • Stay current with industry trends in technical learning, financial services, digital learning, and certifications.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on talent readiness, upskilling/reskilling initiatives, and career development frameworks.
