Lead Cash Allocation Specialist

As a Lead Cash Allocation Specialist, you will play a key role within the Order-to-Cash department, responsible for applying daily cash receipts for allocated countries.

Responsibilities include Accounts Receivable transaction processing such as payment posting, unapplied cash resolution, and debit/credit offsets.

This role involves communicating with external and internal customers to resolve medium to high complexity cases efficiently. As a Lead, you will also support operational improvement initiatives within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor incoming cash daily
  • Process all Bank Receipts accurately and promptly
  • Allocate Debtors suspense amounts appropriately
  • Record cheque receipts, log cheques, and follow through until receipt confirmation
  • Process Direct Debits and coordinate with Treasury for approvals
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain documentation for transactions and reconciliations
  • Perform month-end activities, including account reconciliation and reporting
  • Collaborate with credit control for complex unallocated payments
  • Contact customers for remittances and resolve outstanding cash issues
  • Review and action Unallocated Cash regularly
  • Provide guidance on unresolved team cases
  • Develop system knowledge related to assigned processes
  • Ensure tasks comply with company policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Complete Cash Application tickets within SLAs and ensure approval compliance
  • Assist with audit requests and documentation
  • Identify process improvements and propose solutions
  • Support other cash application tasks during absences
  • Update manuals and support documentation as needed
  • Mentor new employees in OtC

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in Shared Service Centers in similar roles, be proficient with ERP systems, and have experience with Banking portals.
