Job Role Overview
The role of the Cash Allocations Representative plays a key part in the Order-to-Cash (OtC) department, focusing on recording cash receipts for allocated countries. Key responsibilities include processing accounts receivable transactions such as payment posting and unapplied cash resolution, along with debit/credit offsets.
This position requires strong communication skills to work with external and internal customers, including the Credit and Collections team, Accounting team, and other departments to ensure timely resolution of various complexity cases that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regular monitoring of incoming cash
- Timely and accurate processing of all bank receipts
- Correct allocation of Debtors suspense amounts against customers or to appropriate General Ledger area
- Recording cheque receipts and logging cheques with bank until receipt into account
- Investigating and resolving any payment discrepancies
- Maintaining sufficient documentation to trace all transactions and perform reconciliation tasks (debtor suspense movements, unallocated cash, cheque receipts, etc.)
- Performing month-end activities such as account reconciliation, month-end close, and reporting
- Liaising with internal credit control team to discuss unallocated payments
- Contacting customers to obtain remittances or resolve outstanding cash entries
- Reviewing and acting upon Unallocated Cash amounts on a regular basis
- Ensuring performance of tasks is carried out in line with company policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Completing Cash Application tickets and other requests within established Service Level Agreements through correct process, ensuring quality according to request.
- Verifying approvals are in accordance with matrices established for applicable processes before completing application.
- Assisting with requests for internal or external audits, compiling support for requested samples.

Problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Qualifications and experience:
Fluent in English language.
University or College degree required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is necessary (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
Prior work experience in Shared Service Centers beneficial.
Minimum 1-2 years working experience.
