Firmware Engineering Supervisor

At our organization, we're seeking an experienced professional to lead our firmware development team.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for managing a team of software developers and testers in the areas of firmware development, GUI development, testing and test development. The successful candidate will provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, develop and implement Agile software development processes, standards and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. They will also define and track software development metrics, including project schedules, budgets and resource allocation.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in software engineering, 3+ years of experience managing a team of software developers, and strong technical skills in firmware development, GUI development, testing and test development. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of software developers and testers, are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the software development team in firmware development, GUI development, testing and test development.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
  • Develop and implement Agile software development processes, standards and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Define and track software development metrics, including project schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive software product development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in software development and testing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Strong technical skills in firmware development, GUI development, testing and test development.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of software developers and testers.
  • Solid experience with Agile/Scrum software development processes and methodologies.
  • Experience with C, C++, Python, C# and other programming languages.
  • Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, JIRA and Jenkins.
