Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Financial Patient Liaison to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patients are informed about their financial responsibilities prior to appointments and that all financial communications are accurately documented.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to patients to review co-pays, balances, and payment options.
  • Provide clear explanations of billing statements and assist with setting up payment plans when needed.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, financial discussions, and related information to maintain a clear and consistent record.
  • Work closely with intake, clinical, and billing teams to ensure accurate information flow.
  • Escalate complex patient or insurance issues for resolution.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and time management.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with integrity (HIPAA compliance).
  • Comfortable using billing software, electronic health record systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours.
