Job Role Overview

A patient support liaison is responsible for providing various services to address patient inquiries and concerns. They engage with patients to understand their needs, then coordinate the sharing of information between consumers, family members, medical professionals, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to incoming calls in accordance with established procedures and departmental standards.
  • Assist patients in resolving their queries and concerns.
  • Gather outstanding balance from patients.
  • Support third-party entities such as insurance companies in their queries regarding patient accounts.
  • Making outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Help patients with billing-related queries and concerns.
  • Ensure confidentiality by safeguarding protected health information in line with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Contribute to a team environment and support department and company objectives and policies.
  • Display reliability and punctuality by maintaining a good attendance record and arriving on time for work and breaks.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Preferably college-educated or at least 2 years of college education.
  • Degrees and courses related to the medical field are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to handle confidential information.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in email usage.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Organized, able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Team player supportive of department and company goals and policies.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling.
