Global Payroll Professional Job Description

Gather, validate and enter payroll inputs across global regions.

  • Coordinate payroll timelines and ensure all pre-processing activities are completed in accordance with country-specific deadlines.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review employee records to ensure data is accurate and up to date for payroll processing.
  • Provide timely and accurate resolutions for employee payroll inquiries.
  • Coordinate and distribute payroll reports to internal teams as required.
  • Support annual and quarterly statutory and internal reporting requirements.
  • Organize and archive post-payroll reports to support audits reconciliations and future reference.
  • Process and confirm third-party payments.
  • Reconcile payroll tax filings to ensure accuracy in reporting and remittances.
  • Administer global employee benefits and retirement programs.
  • Coordinate with benefit service providers to resolve issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience using payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including functions such as VLOOKUP pivot tables and data validation.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on payroll experience preferably in a multi-country or global payroll environment.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Payroll certification is preferred.
