Account Receivable and Collection Specialist: A Critical Role in Financial Management

About the Position:

This highly specialized role plays a pivotal part in our finance team, focusing on timely collections, accurate financial records, and efficient management of accounts receivable.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in QuickBooks, with a proven track record of utilizing this tool to manage accounts receivable and track payments with precision.

A strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position, as the specialist will engage with clients, resolve payment disputes, and prepare invoices, credit memos, and account statements.

Maintenance of accurate financial records, identification of areas for improvement through data analysis, and collaboration with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures are also critical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize QuickBooks to efficiently manage accounts receivable and track payment records with precision.
  • Handle incoming payments, reconciling and applying them accurately within the system to minimize errors.
  • Engage with clients to follow up on overdue invoices and resolve any payment disputes in a professional manner.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, credit memos, and account statements in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable and collection efforts to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections is required.
  • Expertise in QuickBooks is mandatory, as it is the primary tool used for accounts management.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations is essential for accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for effective decision-making.
