Job Overview

The role of an Electronic Data Interchange Analyst is pivotal in managing the flow of information between organizations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations, encompassing demand planning, order fulfillment, packaging, and distribution. The EDI Analyst must ensure seamless data exchange with partners, monitor EDI systems, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain uninterrupted business processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor EDI communications to guarantee timely data transfer with trading partners.
  • Identify, resolve, and track EDI-related problems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve swift resolution.
  • Coordinate the setup of new EDI trading partners and document implementations.
  • Recommend enhancements to systems and business processes to optimize EDI efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels and implement strategies to maximize warehouse space utilization.

The ideal candidate should possess experience in the Transportation Industry or Logistics field, as well as expertise in analyzing written materials and quantitative data to interpret findings and develop actionable recommendations.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Transportation Industry or Logistics field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Customer Service or a related field.
  • EDI Experience.
  • Knowledge of Operations Management Principles and Practices.
  • Proficiency in using Logistics Software Systems to Track Shipments, Inventory, and Orders.
