Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in scheduling within the U.S. homecare industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating appointments, managing staff schedules, and ensuring efficient patient and caregiver coverage. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations.

Responsibilities
  • Staff Scheduling: Coordinate and manage daily schedules for healthcare staff, including nurses, caregivers, and therapists.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate with patients, families, and staff to confirm appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Coverage Management: Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and respond promptly to last-minute changes or call-offs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records in scheduling software and update calendars in real time.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with HR and operations teams to align staffing with patient needs.
  • Compliance: Monitor compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and healthcare regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in homecare scheduling.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems, terminology, and staffing models.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., ClearCare, AlayaCare, HomeTrak, or similar).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Environment Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of scheduling requests.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Home Care Experience: Experience in home care, hospice, or long-term care settings.
  • Familiarity with Regulations: Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Bilingualism: Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
