The role of Business Development and Sales Leader encompasses a wide range of activities from lead generation, sales, project management, product management, to account management by building and forging strong professional relationships with clients in various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Achievement of Sales Targets
- Identify new business opportunities, including new markets and potential clients, through research and analysis.
- Create and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets and expand the company's market presence.
- Generate leads through various channels such as networking events, industry conferences, and online platforms.
- Conduct presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Pipeline Creation and Conversion
- List all clients with potential business for the company
- Provide all necessary contact information of stakeholders and input it on the CRM.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of accounts and consistently add business prospects to the pipeline.
- Convert the leads to closed accounts.
- List all clients with potential business for the company
- Internal and External Coordination with Different Departments
- Commercial Team Alignment
- Coordinate with the Sales Admin team for NTPs and other related documents needed for filing.
- Work with the Marketing department for marketing support needed by the client.
- Align with the Transportation department for requirements needed for Transportation.
- Alignment with Other Internal Departments
- Align with the product dev team and Solutions dev team for required solutions for the client.
- Coordinate requirements with the procurement team for proper procurement of products and deliveries.
- Align with finance for dues, accounting requirements, and client servicing.
- Commercial Team Alignment
- Monitoring and Delivery of Service
- Ensure all deliverables to the client are accepted by the client.
- Ensure that all documents needed for bidding are complete.
- Account management and continued customer servicing.
- Maintain a Satisfactory Rating from Clients
- Establish long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and building trust.
- General Business Development & Sales Tasks
- Develop and execute monthly sales plans and strategies geared towards achieving assigned sales goals.
- Acquire signed contracts, purchase orders, and payments from clients through daily sales calls, sending proposals, and emails.
- Generate revenue through successful deals from various sources, including co-branded card partnerships, cashless implementations, multifunction cards/CANS offerings, gates/access solutions, and new business ventures.
- Establish a client portfolio along with updated information through Customer Relations Management tool.
- Submit weekly monitoring and reporting of actual sales performance vs. target.
- Collaborate actively with different support groups within the organization on matters impacting the business.
- Contribute to developing a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients by coordinating with Commercial's Admin Assistant.
- Build and forge long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Manage both the existing sales pipeline and the development of new business opportunities within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Take a lead role in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships.
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term in accordance with targets within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Coordinate the implementation of marketing strategies within assigned areas of responsibility to achieve strategic goals.
- Help monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers, and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss updates, feedback, and action plans.
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select deals in line with strategies, and facilitate pitch logistics.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the overarching business development and sales strategy, processes, structure, and best practices across the company.
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.
- Ensure completion of the end-to-end business development and sales life cycle including post-sales activities with clients and stakeholders.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned territory/accounts.
- Identify decision-makers within targeted leads to begin the sales process. Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations based on customers' product and service requirements.
- Maintain records utilizing Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office, and the web.
- Make presentations and demonstrate how a product will meet government agencies and Terminal operations needs.
- Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts internally.
- Effectively adhere to and lead efforts to provide accurate forecasting.
- Increase visibility and involvement by attending trade shows, conferences, and bidding participation.

- Support and participate in internal and external training, workshops, webinars, audits of systems, processes, and protocols with respect to your role, systems, processes, and functions.
- Perform ad hoc tasks, functions, and/or responsibilities as may be required by the organization, its officers, and/or Management/Executive Team from time to time.
- Provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement and advancement of the organization's vision, mission, core values, goals, activities, and initiatives.
