Logistics Coordinator Job Summary

Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in connecting shippers and carriers to ensure the smooth and efficient transportation of goods across the country.

The successful candidate will be responsible for making calls and postings to engage shippers and carriers, sourcing and onboarding new shipper accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with trucking companies and owner-operators, negotiating rates and lanes to ensure profitability and market competitiveness, matching available freight with the right carrier partners based on service, equipment, and cost, coordinating and scheduling shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery, monitoring and tracking shipments in real time, proactively resolving any service issues, maintaining carrier compliance with safety, insurance, and regulatory standards, using TMS software and load boards to post and manage loads, and ensuring all freight documentation is accurate and complete.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatching, logistics, or transportation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms and load boards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • A customer-service mindset with a focus on results.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
