The Opportunity:As a Remote Legal Operations Specialist, you will support legal operations by managing insurance claims, coordinating with brokers, and assisting in litigation-related tasks.
This role involves handling state licensing processes for acquisitions and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will also prepare clear, concise summary reports and updates for executive leadership.
- Manage and monitor insurance claims and coordinate with insurance brokers on ongoing cases.
- Assist in the management of lawsuits, including maintaining documentation, timelines, and coordination with legal counsel.
- Oversee the legal process related to state licensing for new or potential acquisitions, ensuring timely submissions and renewals.
- Liaise with state agencies to ensure full compliance with licensing requirements.
- Prepare and write clear, concise summary reports and updates for ownership and executive leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of legal matters, communications, and compliance documents.
This position offers the flexibility of working from home.
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in healthcare or senior living is a plus.
- Strong understanding of insurance claims and litigation processes.
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and acquisition-related legal documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to produce clear, professional summary reports and documentation for executive review.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification, experience working in multi-state environments or with regulatory agencies, and understanding of healthcare or senior living regulatory environments.
Essential tools for this role include a reliable computer, noise-canceling headset, second monitor, and stable internet connection, as well as a backup internet connection for seamless work completion.
