Desktop Support Role Summary
We seek an experienced IT professional to fill this desktop support position. This role is responsible for providing technical assistance to users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems in a timely manner.
About the JobThis job involves working as a primary IT resource for a site, handling end-user inquiries, and resolving complex technical issues with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive in identifying solutions, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical assistance to users via phone, email, or in-person visits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues with minimal supervision.
- Identify and escalate persistent issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain inventory of installed software and hardware, collaborating with vendors to verify timely product delivery and installation.
- Lead complex troubleshooting investigations to accepted resolution, documenting all calls and efforts in the company's ticketing system.
- Work within established Service Level Agreements (SLA), following escalation and notification procedures.
- Offer emergency after-hours senior executive support as required, assisting the Technical Operations Center during critical incidents onsite.
- Mentor less experienced team members on technical resolution of complex problems and procedures.
