Financial Patient Outreach Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Patient Financial Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patients are informed about their financial responsibilities prior to appointments and that all financial communications are accurately documented in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

This is an entry-level full-time position, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with a salary based on experience.

  • Proactively reach out to patients to review co-pays, balances, and payment options.
  • Provide clear explanations of billing statements and assist with setting up payment plans when needed.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, financial discussions, and related information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to maintain a clear and consistent record.
  • Work closely with intake, clinical, and billing teams to ensure accurate information flow.
  • Escalate complex patient or insurance issues for resolution.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and time management.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with integrity (HIPAA compliance).
  • Comfortable using billing software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
