Remote Medical Support Specialist

Staffing for Doctors is in search of a friendly and efficient Virtual Medical Receptionist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing outstanding customer service while managing administrative tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and ensuring a smooth flow of communication between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, organized, and capable of handling inquiries with professionalism and warmth.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role, strong understanding of medical office procedures, excellent communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor, proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently in a remote environment, familiarity with insurance processes is a plus, ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls and inquiries from patients
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the medical provider’s calendar efficiently
  • Collect and update patient information accurately in the electronic health record system
  • Provide patients with information about services, procedures, and protocols
  • Handle patient check-ins and follow-up communications
  • Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Assist in managing administrative tasks to support office operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role
  • Strong understanding of medical office procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
