Technical Support Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and guidance to our customers, ensuring they have a seamless experience with our products.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert for a book of enterprise accounts, handling all technical queries and assisting with supported LTS upgrades. You will also be responsible for peer training and development, personal continued education, and contributing to our reference documentation.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of support experience and 3+ years of Big Data, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies experience. They will also possess strong skills in Linux, DBMS Concepts/SQL, and languages such as SQL, Java, Python, and Bash.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support for standard and custom deployments
  • Answering break/fix and non-break/fix technical questions through SFDC ticketing system
  • Efficiently reproducing reported issues by leveraging tools (minikube, minitrino, docker-compose, etc.), identifying root causes, and providing solutions
  • Opening SEP and Galaxy bug reports in Jira and feature requests in Aha
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of support experience
  • 3+ years of Big Data, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies experience
  • Big Data (Teradata, Hadoop, Data Lakes, Spark)
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Security - Authentication (LDAP, OAuth2.0) and Authorization technologies
  • SSL/TLS
  • Linux Skills
  • DBMS Concepts/SQL Exposure Languages: SQL, Java, Python, Bash
