Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Technical Support Engineer. This position involves resolving complex technical issues, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling escalated and highly technical issues, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues. You will also serve as an escalation point for high-priority or highly complex issues, own and resolve critical incidents, and manage escalations through to resolution. Additionally, you will mentor, guide, and train other technical support engineers, share best practices, assist with escalations, develop training materials, and help teammates develop their skills.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and macOS, as well as experience with cloud platforms and virtualization. They will also have experience with databases and scripting languages, and be familiar with DevOps tools and practices. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.

Requirements
  • 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role, and/or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; at least 4 years' experience in a service or customer-facing role.
  • At least 2 years in a senior or escalation role.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical users with easy-to-follow instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions under pressure.
