Procurement Specialist Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Request Management: Approve or reject service requests against global policies and pre-defined service level agreements.
  • Supplier Engagement: Submit work to nominated suppliers, engaging with them within defined service level agreements.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Follow up with suppliers and sites to ensure satisfactory completion of work.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle issues or concerns from suppliers or internal teams, resolving problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supplier Base Optimization: Review and consolidate the supplier base, making changes based on feedback and commercial factors.
  • Cost Reduction: Deliver action plans to reduce costs and renegotiate pricing within designated coverage areas.
  • Purchase Order Management: Review, validate, and submit purchase orders.
  • Vendor Spend Analysis: Analyze and evaluate vendors or site spend.
  • Supplier Onboarding: Manage setup of new suppliers and enforce company payment terms.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with data, reports, and numbers.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Solid understanding of supply chain management processes and procedures.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with good two-way communication abilities and fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Problem-Solving: Enjoys helping people and resolving issues, working with site teams and external vendors.
  • Attention to Detail: Good attention to detail and ability to follow process.
  • Independence: Independent problem solver capable of finding solutions.
  • Self-Starter: Self-starter who can take ownership of delivering key results and achieving service level agreements.
  • Ambiguity Tolerance: Able to work in ambiguous environments.
  • Confidentiality: Treats all projects with utmost confidentiality.
  • Education: Prefers graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business-related courses, or other relevant fields.
