About this Opportunity:

This exciting position is available for a skilled Senior SMSF Accountant looking to leverage their expertise in tax law and accounting principles, with a focus on mentoring junior colleagues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and compliance reports for Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).
  • Analyse complex transactions, including investment portfolios and pension arrangements, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Liaise with external auditors to confirm compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and supervise intermediate-level accountants, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their development.
  • Offer technical assistance to client managers on Australian-based projects.
Essential Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working within Australian accounting firms, with a strong understanding of SMSF regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including the SIS Act and ATO guidelines.
  • Proficiency in software applications used in SMSF administration, such as Class Super or BGL.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certification in taxation, accounting, or related fields highly desirable.
