Financial Leadership Role

As a seasoned financial professional, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial operations of our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass managing multiple entities, each with its own distinct characteristics and requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee accounts receivable, payable, reconciliation, manual journals, expense approvals, payment approvals, procurement, statutory reporting, management reporting, revenue recognition, budget setting & variances, forecasting, depreciation & amortisation, payroll, commission management, project-based accounting, intellectual property (IP) valuation, vendor & talent payment management, intercompany transactions, consolidated reporting, group treasury management, transfer pricing, group tax strategy & compliance, intercompany service agreements, consolidated cash flow forecasting, group risk management, capital structure management, debt facility management, one-offs, audit coordination, M&A due diligence & integration, stakeholder reporting, and modelling.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CA certification required
  • Minimum of 7 years in financial management
  • At least 3 years of experience working within a multi-entity group structure
  • Experience in media, entertainment, or event-based industries is preferred
Essential Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero or similar ERP systems
  • Familiarity with expense management tools
  • Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets, particularly for group-level modelling and forecasting
Distinguishing Characteristics:
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder and cross-entity collaboration
  • Ability to manage complex priorities across multiple entities
Domain Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of AASB standards, OECD transfer pricing guidelines, and ATO regulations
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting and intellectual property (IP) valuation in the media and entertainment sectors
