OverviewRelationship Manager - Corporate Banking role focused on soliciting new corporate customers, developing and growing a designated portfolio, and delivering bank products and services to meet targets while maximizing profitability and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Solicit new customers and develop a designated portfolio of corporate clients through professional account/relationship management, marketing, and delivery of bank products and services to attain mandated targets and maximize profitability, while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute overall account strategies for each covered account to maximize relationship returns.
- Identify target markets and implement strategies to ensure optimal coverage and credit-worthy client acquisition.
- Drive customized, cohesive product/account plans in coordination with bank product partners based on customer requirements, capabilities, industry competition, and business environment.
- Promote a cross-selling mindset by leveraging the full suite of bank products and services when managing corporate relationships.
- Deliver profitability metrics and cross-sell ratios for accounts under coverage, in compliance with credit and regulatory policy.
- Ensure accounts under coverage comply with documentation/covenant requirements and maintain sound credit quality.
- Build and nurture relationships at various levels within a corporate organization, maintaining dialogue with decision-makers and influencers (e.g., CEO, COO, CFO, Treasury Heads).
- Prepare and evaluate credit proposals and line renewals according to established plans and strategies.
- Monitor customers' market and financial positions to identify needs and warning signals affecting credit quality.
- Develop and grow the bank's market share for assets, liabilities, and collateral-related business from these relationships.
- Mentor Account Specialists on proper account administration and relationship management.
- Assist in collecting past-due accounts and in loan restructuring as needed for accounts under coverage.
- Working knowledge of credit analysis, bank products/services, banking regulations, and related legal documentation; experience in marketing corporate banking products/services.
- Bachelor's degree in any business discipline.
- At least two (2) years of banking industry experience, specifically in corporate banking.
- Ability to speak Nihongo is advantageous but not required.
