Overview

The Tech Support Engineer provides hands-on technical support across restaurant locations, ensuring seamless operation of digital tools and systems. From troubleshooting point-of-sale issues to resolving connectivity hiccups, this role is key to maintaining smooth, tech-enabled restaurant workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line support for POS systems, kitchen display screens, and handheld ordering devices
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on-site or remotely
  • Assist with setup and configuration of IT equipment during store openings or upgrades
  • Ensure proper function of network systems, Wi-Fi access, and payment integrations
  • Document incidents, fixes, and FAQs to improve support efficiency
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to escalate unresolved issues
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in technical support or IT service desk roles, preferably in food service environments
  • Familiarity with restaurant tech platforms (e.g., Toast, Square, Oracle Micros)
  • Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and mobile device management
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to support restaurant need
