Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled ITSM Consultant (Capacity/Availability Management) to join our IT Service Delivery team at NRI Australia & New Zealand. The role focuses on the effective planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of capacity and availability management services. You will be responsible for monitoring resource utilization, forecasting future demand, and implementing strategies aligned with business goals and service level targets.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor resource utilization and forecast future demand for capacity and availability management.
  • Develop and execute strategies that align with business goals and service level targets.
  • Identify capacity constraints and implement improvement initiatives to optimise resource utilisation and reduce operational risks.
  • Develop and present capacity improvement plans to senior stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure capacity planning supports service performance targets (SLTs, SLAs, OLAs, CSFs & KPIs).
  • Provide clear metrics, trend analysis, and reporting to support continuous service improvement.
  • Foresee future capacity requirements based on business growth, historical data, and technology trends.
Qualifications & Clearances
  • Baseline Security Clearance required
  • 5-6 years' experience in overseeing the delivery of IT services in a managed service environment or large government agency covering Capacity/Availability Management
Knowledge | Skills | Abilities
  • Strong understanding of Capacity/Availability Management planning & principles
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, & influencing skills
  • Proven experience identifying capacity constraints & implementing improvement initiatives
  • Ability to forecast future capacity requirements based on business growth, historical data & technology trends
  • Familiarity with industry-standard capacity & performance monitoring tools & techniques
  • Experience developing & presenting capacity improvement plans to senior stakeholders & technical teams
  • Excellent listening & communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience developing metrics, trend analysis & reporting to support quality outcomes & continuous service improvement
  • Understanding of SLTs, SLAs, OLAs, CSFs & KPIs with focus on aligning capacity planning with service performance targets
Other Requirements
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of commercial contract constructs & how capacity commitments impact financial outcomes
  • High-level working knowledge of common infrastructure & application technologies
