JOB PROFILE (RE-ADVERTISEMENT) JOB TITLE Specialist: Technology Transfer projects DURATION Twelve (12) Months Fixed Term Contract JOB GRADE C5 Minimum Midpoint NO. OF INCUMBENTS 1 DIVISION Seda Technology Programme LOCATION Seda National Office MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To facilitate the provision of appropriate technology transfer through structured support and funding for small enterprises nationally KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS ❖ Assess small enterprises for the benefit of TTF ❖ Develop business cases to adjudication panel ❖ Administer the technology transfer fund nationally ❖ Establish and maintain accurate database ❖ Verification of supplied technology received at the client ❖ Contribute to the review of TTF policy and processes ❖ Conduct impact analysis on the technology intervention on ❖ Conduct TTF awareness workshops REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION ❖ Matric (NQF Level 4) and National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Commerce/ Technology/ Science/ and or Engineering ❖ Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Commerce or Engineering or in Commerce/ Technology/ Science/ and or Engineering as added advantage REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE 4-6 years’ experience in the following: ❖ Field of technology transfer and technology needs assessment ❖ Assessment of viability and sustainability of small enterprises ❖ Thorough understanding of science and technology sector CRITICAL COMPETENCIES ❖ Advisory Service ❖ Communication ❖ Stakeholder Engagement ❖ Analytical ❖ Business Acumen ❖ Problem-Solving & Decision-Making ❖ Planning & Organising ❖ Monitoring & Evaluation ❖ Performance Driven ❖ Team Work ❖ Adaptability & Flexibility ❖ Policy Adherence ❖ Negotiation ❖ Basic Computer Skills ❖ Office Management NB: The appointment of candidates will be made in line with SEDA’s Employment Equity Plan.
