Overview JOB PROFILE : Twenty (20) Months Fixed Term Contract REPORTING TO : Senior Manager: Quality, Standards and Technology Transfer JOB GRADE : D1 Minimum Midpoint RANGE : R 653 395 R 768 701 NO. OF INCUMBENTS : 1 DIVISION : Seda Technology Programme LOCATION : Seda National Office Main Purpose of the Job To manage technology transfer through structured support and funding for small enterprises Key Performance Areas Manage technology transfer by means of technical advice and support through established networks Facilitate access to business, financial support by means of referrals to appropriate institutions Manage the implementation of programmes that enhance small businesses through sourcing of market ready technologies and funding Manage the administration of the technology transfer fund Manage resources (human and finance) Required Minimum Education Matric (NQF Level 4) plus BTech (NQF Level 7) or Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Commerce/Science/Technology Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) and/or Post Graduate Diploma (NQF Level 8) in Commerce/Science/Technology/Engineering as added advantage Required Work Experience 6-8 years’ experience in technology management/fund administration of which at least 2 – 4 years should be in the Managerial/Specialist level Experience in a scientific or technical environment Experience in SMME development sector Critical Competencies Strategic Capability Managing a Team Coaching & Mentoring Change Management Policy Development & Adherence Political Awareness Advisory Service Communication Stakeholder Engagement Analytical Business Acumen Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Planning & Organising Monitoring & Evaluation Performance-Drivenen Team Work Adaptability & Flexibility Policy Adherence Negotiation NB: It is the organization’s intention to promote equity and representivity in terms of race, gender and people living with disability as per the set numerical targets contained in the organizational Employment Equity Plan (EE Plan).
