The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing sales performance across all assigned stores while ensuring company standards, policies, and procedures are implemented effectively. This role oversees operational excellence, team leadership, store development, and cross-functional collaboration. The manager plays a strategic role in driving productivity, minimizing operational costs, and maintaining high standards of service and compliance across the region.
In the absence of the Regional Sales Manager, the Assistant Sales Manager assumes temporary responsibility. For longer absences, a deputy is designated by the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Sales and Operations Oversight- Ensure all assigned stores achieve maximum sales performance.
- Guarantee adherence to all company policies, guidelines, and decisions.
- Optimize cost-efficiency and productivity across store operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company success.
- Lead and develop Area Sales Managers and Store Managers, fostering motivation, initiative, and performance excellence.
- Responsible for the hiring and dismissal of Store Managers.
- Decide on salaries and bonus structures for Store Managers.
- Oversee the training and development of Area Sales Managers.
- Assign and adjust territories/areas for Area Sales Managers.
- Manage leave schedules and appoint deputies as needed for Area Sales Managers.
- Chair the Area Sales Managers’ Meetings regularly.
- Approve interior layout plans for new stores (including entrance, checkout, aisles, shelves, departments).
- Determine store opening dates.
- Oversee the ordering and installation of store equipment such as shelves, refrigerators, POS systems, etc.
- Approve store renovations and schedule works accordingly.
- Approve repairs and equipment purchases up to USD 5,000.00.
- In coordination with Logistics and Regional Purchasing (when needed), decide on the delivery plan per store, including direct vendor deliveries.
- Determine the distribution volume and locations of flyers, as well as special sales activities for targeted stores.
- Issue memos and official store communications to convey changes in assortment, pricing, and other critical updates.
- Ensure all store safety and security protocols are implemented to minimize risk and injuries.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in the Retail Industry, preferably within convenience store operations.
- Proven track record in sales management and operational leadership.
- Experience in managing large teams (500+ direct/indirect staff).
- Demonstrated capability in overseeing 50+ store branches.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work on a flexible schedule and across multiple locations.
